Terminating Staff

When it comes to a staff member leaving, there are a few things we need to ensure are completed:

  • They are removed from the appointment book from their final date of employment

  • They no longer have access to Pointa

Let’s run through the process:

At the end of a staff member’s employment, first remove them from future appointment-book visibility.

Best practice:

  1. Go to Staff.

  2. Select the staff member.

  3. Open Roster.

  4. Add a new base roster from the effective date.

  5. Leave all days unticked.

  6. Add a note if useful.

  7. Select Save.

This removes the staff member from the booking sheet from that effective date.

After their final day of work, delete the staff member:

  1. Go to Staff.

  2. Search for the staff member.

  3. Open the menu beside their name.

  4. Select Delete.

  5. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a staff member removes them from normal staff lists and revokes their Pointa access if they had it.

If a staff member is deleted accidentally, contact Support to reinstate them.
